Who we are

Jayendra Alumni Network(JAN) is a US‑based, tax‑exempt nonprofit founded by alumni and well‑wishers of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee Matriculation Higher Secondary School, India. We support the school’s mission via scholarships, educational infrastructure, teaching assistance, and social welfare support.

History

Born from collaborative discussions in late 2023, JAN was formally established in January 2024 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with bylaws approved at its inaugural board meeting. Since its founding, JAN has translated vision into action by investing in school infrastructure, awarding student scholarships, and providing meaningful mentorship opportunities—creating lasting impact in the communities it serves.

Our Alma Mater

Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee Matriculation Higher Secondary School  in Sankar Nagar, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India, was established in 1981 by our dedicated teachers Usha Madam and Nirmala Madam to provide quality, value-based education rooted in both traditional and modern academic standards. The school carries the name and blessings of His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, reflecting its commitment to holistic learning that blends intellectual growth with moral and cultural values. Over the years, it has grown into a respected institution in the region, consistently achieving academic success and notable accomplishments in sports, innovation, and community activities. The dedicated faculty and leadership have played a key role in nurturing students, helping the school become a vibrant center of learning and achievement in its community.
